Climate Change + Tech SF Meetup

From 2016 - 2018, I co-hosted a Meetup group in San Francisco that was dedicated to addressing issues of climate change within the technology and open science community. My specialty was creating a space in which I was not the expert, but rather, the attendees were the experts. Over take-out dinner, in the open science hackerspace Manylabs located on 7th and Folsom in San Francisco, we would share perspectives on issues such as water, air, and agriculture technologies. From our 10-20 person roundtable discussions to our biggest event, a carbon removal technologies even in partnership with Y Combinator at the Global Climate Action Summit in 2018, we were dedicated to sparking connection and creating space for new possibilities to emerge and take their first steps.

Do you have an event that strives to have an innovative character like what I’ve described here? Don’t hesitate to reach out and we can determine what budget might be appropriate.
